Raising Leaders.
Creating Legacy.
We help young people aged 8–25 understand who they are, recognise what they can offer and build the confidence and connections to shape what comes next.
Who we are
Think Legacy UK CIC is a youth empowerment organisation founded by Shalena Haughton-Peters. Inspired by the resilience and contribution of the Windrush generation, we combine coaching, mentoring, practical learning and opportunity to help young people build on their strengths, find their voice and create a legacy of their own.
What we do
Turning potential into possibility
-
Family & Community Support
Young people do not grow in isolation. Where it strengthens their journey, we work alongside parents, carers, schools, youth organisations and community services. The aim is not to create dependency, but to strengthen the network around a young person so progress can continue beyond a programme.
-
Safe Passage
Preventative transition support helping young people navigate key stages in their education with confidence, identity and belonging.
-
Empowerment & Life Skills
Practical learning connecting wellbeing, identity, healthy relationships, financial literacy, leadership and preparation for adulthood.
-
Coaching & Mentoring
Trusted relationships that help young people understand themselves, strengthen confidence and take purposeful steps forward.
-
Legacy Bursaries & Opportunities
Where funding allows, removing financial barriers so young people can access education, training, travel and developmental opportunities.
Why it matters
Potential is everywhere.
Opportunity is not.
Some young people face inequality, exclusion risk, financial barriers or simply lack someone who can help them see and navigate what comes next. Think Legacy UK CIC works early, before barriers become destinations, helping young people strengthen their voice, relationships and self-belief while connecting them to real opportunities for progression.

I met Shalena when she invited me to mentor her in leadership roles at Youth First; she engaged and inspired the team around her. Her committed approach translated directly into supporting and enabling the young people with whom she was working, always creating the greatest chances and opportunities for them.
